Suggestions for speaker BF Vibro Champ

Just picked up a nice 1967 BF Vibro Champ all original except the speaker which is 8 ohms instead of 4.

Any recommendations, has original OT at 4 ohm.

Yeah, I checked out Weber. He has several Alnico and Ceramic 4 ohm speakers. Of all the speakers he has I was thinking an Alnico, one that breaks up a little later since this Amp breaks up soon anyway.

What was in this amp stock in 1967? I only paid $250, I thought that was a good deal, good shape but grill cloth is worned, sounds terrific.

Webers's Ceramic speakes have big magnets that look like the filter cap can might be in the way? Alnico's seem like they might fit, Weber's pretty good on questions, I'm sure I can ask them if their speakers will fit.

But what was original? And would you put in an Alnico or Ceramic.

 I assume a 4 ohm would be louder than the 8 in there now, correct?

If Weber's 8A125T will fit in your cab, that's what I'd try first. They say it won't fit "early" blackface Champs but 1967 isn't early to me. Call 'em.

I used a pair of 10A125T speakers in a BF Super Reverb (along with 2 other Weber's) and think they'll fit what you're looking for.
