James tone stack wiring
« on: May 07, 2015, 06:23:55 am »
Hello
I'm looking at using a james tone stack in a new build and I'm looking for wiring examples. If anyone has experience with the james stack could you please share any images of your on or off board wiring layout for the stack?

Regards,

Neill

I just did one in an Ampeg circuit last week. I used the top layout...
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

A possible variant (the Shift pot in substitution of the 470k resistor)

If you would like a circuit board, there is one here: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/3WojKgVM

It is the same circuit that Ampeg used. Cost less than $10 delivered for three boards. The .brd design file can be downloaded and run with Eagle which is a free cad program.

Designing circuit boards can be addictive at those prices.
