I bet it's from a World's Faire from the 40's or 50's.

I bet it's from a World's Faire from the 40's or 50's.

Holy cow... my guess was right! It's called the "MBLE Tower" and was a pavilion at the 1958 World's Exposition in Brussels. A google search doesn't turn up a whole lot of info about it. Apparently there was this gigantic building shaped like an atom called the Atomium that got all the attention that year, and still today as well.

Edit:

Here's a slide show guided-tour...
http://radiocollection.be/mult/MBLE_expo01.html

About two-thirds down this page is architect and other info about it. It's in French and Google didn't translate it for some reason but Bing translator in IE did...

I found all of this information by using Google's reverse image search. If you go to the "images" part of google, click on the camera icon in the search text box and then paste a URL to an image and it magically finds more like that on the web. Pretty cool feature.
