AC30 master volume addition - thoughts?
« on: June 28, 2015, 03:46:29 pm »
Hey guys,

I'm putting a Master volume in the AC 30 build I'm working on.  Wrestling with my new Mac so excuse the lame picture editing, but I want this to be pre PI, so this is what I've come up with.  This look OK?

The other thing is, I want a switch to bypass the MV.  I'm thinking of literally bypassing it (i.e. add the switch across the MV input to wiper), but is there a better way?  The idea is to allow the player to either use the MV or not use it.

Thanks guys!
Mark.

I think that the MV bypass isn't required

you can simply rotate the shaft as to have the wiper directly connected to the signal

However, if you want to completely bypass the MV this is the way

My council, build it in a provisory way and try it with and without the switch, then decide which way you prefer

Thanks, K.
The guy I'm building it for wants to have a switch.  I don't completely understand why, but Bad Cat does it and he likes that idea, so there it is ;)
