So how does the Leslie/ Cordovox footswith work?
« on: August 26, 2015, 02:42:03 pm »
It cuts the signal altogether, so is it just grounding it? It's non-powered, just a speaker (as far as that goes), so it wouldn't be an open circuit, since it plugs into the output of a tube amp (originally...). Any thoughts? I'm looking for a way to run this as an extension cab...TIA...

Here's the schematic for the Leslie (or Fender Vibratone) 16/18...
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Thanks Sluckey, I have seen that, but....there is no output to the "combo" speaker , as in putting the Cordovox "in line" between the amp and it's internal speaker.. It just has a hard wired footswitch, a hard wired cable to a 1/4" mono phone plug, and a hard wired power cord. Fuse is internal, soldered in place.  Thanks again for your time...

Take a look at my homebrew Leslie. It simply plugs into any amp as an external speaker. Can even be used as the only speaker. Or you can use a main amp plus a totally separate amp dedicated for the Leslie and just use an A/B/Y switch between the guitar and the two amps. This may be more like your Cordovox. May be a little more complicated than what you describe just due to the two speed motors. Simple schematic is near the top of the page...
