Some pictures of bows I have made
Some are 'braced(strung) on the floor a couple are on the tillering stick(where the real bow making work is done)
1 osage static recurve 50lbs pull at 28" draw...ouch!
2 same bow at full draw
3 roughed out ash longbow on the floor
4 same bow on the tillering stick at full draw

1 black locust longbow on floor 42lbs
2 ash steam-bent static recurve 35lbs(all the recurves are steam bent)
3 traditional yew long bow with antler knocks 50lbs
4 my regular shooter a 38lbs osage static recurve (this bow and the 50lbs recurve were split from the same half-log, note the difference in colour)


Osage is cool because when it's fresh cut it's bright electric orange yellow and eventually it will darken to a eggplant purple black

Here is the bow from the first post the osage 50lbs recurve pictures 1 and 2, unstrung, it has already gotten much darker since those other pictures were taken
