Looking for a couple Music Man 212HD knobs....
« on: January 02, 2016, 02:48:06 pm »
I am servicing a Music Man 212HD today and notice this amp is missing one of the original knobs and another is missing the silver cup in the top of the knob.  They aren't the typical fender knobs.  These one's go from 0 to 10 where as typical fender knobs go from 1 to 10.

By chance, does anyone have any of these knobs around that aren't being used, that I could purchase?  I am looking for 2 knobs.

I've searched online with no luck yet.

Thanks!

You could pop the center out of that Fender knob and glue it onto your MM knob. Then you only need to find one more.

Sunn knobs go from 0-10, but the font looks to be different than your MM knob. Sunn knobs may be just as hard to find. See pic...
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

You could change them ALL out to Fenders and put the originals in a bag to keep for the "collector" value.  The Sunn knobs were a different size font.  However, the early Mesa Boogies used the same knob as the MM.  You could contact the factory and see if they have any floating around the shop?  They were silk screened on the flat surface and easily wore off.  About five years ago a guy was selling lots (as in 10 pcs) of them on fleabay.  You can maybe look it up and contact the seller to see if he still has one or two laying around?

This was the seller.  He is from Indiana.

That's a good idea! :think1:

I will run that option by the owner and I'll reach out to the the ebay guy just in case he still has some.

Thanks!
