Wurlitzer Schematic Model 7011
« on: February 12, 2016, 04:46:10 pm »
I'm having trouble finding this schematic online.

Anybody here have it or a link where I could get it?

The amp is in good condition.  Without the schemo it is hard to tell what is missing and how it connects.

I thought that this might use a field coil speaker, since I wasn't getting anything out of my rectifier.

I tried connecting a few different ohm chokes to the speaker jack.  They all let her make sound.

I found that with just a jumper in there I have 350VDC on the plates of the 6L6Gs, which seems like a good number to me.

I am getting very low output, that doesn't sound very good yet.  1 side of the 6SL7 it had tested very low, but I don't have a spare.

From what I am gathering the volume control pot is off board and coming in through one of the jacks.
Which one?  Without the schematic it is hard to tell.

The Wurlitzer Model 7011 amp schematic would help me a great deal in figuring out what to connect/mod to make this a rocking guitar amp.

There is at least one in my junk gear thread.

The site doesn't seem to want to let me upload any pics at this time, maybe later tonight.

I spent a couple of hours cleaning and shining up the outsides.  Her guts were pristine.
No obvious repairs or anything, and her cap cans all seem to be going strong.
She's old point to point wiring, so it's quite a challenge see what she has going on inside with just a pic.

Any Wurlitzer Juke box schematics that might be close to this organ amp design?

So from memory she's got 2 6L6Gs, a 5U4, a 6SL7, 2 6SQ7s, and 3 6SN7s.

Nice, The organ amps are great, they usually have tremolo's and even reverbs, so converting to guitar use is fairly easy.
Should the amp require "field coil" speakers it not much to convert to PM speakers.
The electromagnet on the speaker is use a choke in the B+ circuit, this can be replaced with a normal choke and standard guitar speakers used, although I have read that the electro's can sound good.
