Tremolo bypass switch
« on: August 04, 2016, 09:57:44 am »
I'm using a switch to bypass the trem circuit in a Deluxe Reverb. Just wondering the best way to eliminate the open circuit "pop" when reactivating the tremolo circuit with the switch. I don't think an inline resistor or a resistor across the switch would work in this case.

Thanks for any input.

When you say "bypass the trem" do you mean break the path for the INT pot to give a gain boost? Just put a 1M resistor across the switch. Easy to do. Might help with the pop.

And if this switch is a footswitch you'll need to use shielded cable.

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
