Here's the album and in the second pic at the top you'll see I clipped out the 22uF leaving the leads which were long then I hooked the new 4.7uF cap over those leads.
This was to see if I went too far in value.. easy to change.
Works fine. .

I will take another pic or two showing  the R and Cap change I made.

PS my meter works on the other amp I fixed.
Since I did find V's not passing in two places the R and C mentioned.. I have been reflowing solder.. could be a bad solder .  am trying different tubes.

Thanks for posting the image links. You need three R/C filters between the plate and the grid. How are the resistors in that equation attached to the caps? (Its a bit hard to tell from your images if you've got the LFO circuit wired in properly).
A bus stops at a bus station. A train stops at a train station. On my desk, I have a work station.

it copies the diagrams for this amp pretty much spot on. Only the tubes were rotated a bit compared to that.
there are caps stacked on resistors in a few places. I'd have to go look.
I'll see. It should be ok, since it worked fine before.
I was looking hard at the solder joints and esp. the solder used, so dirty looking.

I broke down, took it to my friend Dave in the city and...
after much testing and looking and testing and looking..
he said. I've had a revelation.

A wire connecting two pins on V4, heaters, was not connected.
I put in a new one, fired it up..
worked perfectly.

The amp has big lips over the tube sockets and the pots in front.. very dark and cramped.
At the angle I had it on my bench I saw the wire as connected.. Dave figured it out, looked
and voila! it was only touching on one side.

I hooked it up to a 12" Eminence Wizard in a 1X12 cab closed back.
Lots of low end, even with 4.7uf down from 22uF @P3.
But the flub noise I had gotten from the first hearing was gone from both the 10" it had and this one.
I'm still going to reverse the OT wires.. that squeal had to come from somewhere, besides my removing the NFB.
Also this speaker no brand name.. square magnet.. could be goofy.
But I think before I give it back I should be sure it will run with everything.
There's a mod to add a .01uF cap in series with NFB.
I might try that after I rewire.

It really sounds great through the 12" speaker.. and the lows can be adjusted, for my money, quite well just using the bass pot.

I can't get over how I didn't see the heater wire disconnect. Time for a new LED flashlight.
Thanks to everyone. My head was somewhere else a few times in this.. I haven't done any amp work
for two years and man.. me no smart no more. Better get on the stick!

No it doesn't, it could very well be that the OT primary's need to be flip/flopped. That's the most likely cause for that symptom because when you disconnected the NFB the squeal was gone.

It needs to be ruled out as the cause, so flip those 2 OT primary leads with each other AND hook the NFB back up and see if the squeal is still gone.

will do.
the owner came over and played it.. and liked it fine.
He's a steel player, and pretty good. I was really impressed by it's tones, too.http://rollingbender.com/admin/index.php/strap-steel/
His steel guitar set up is pretty cool.. knobs at the bridge that push down.
You can see them pretty clearly on the natural finished model. same one he had here.
