Brief introduction

Hello all,

My name is Tom, and I'm an 'ampaholic'.  I've been attempting to learn, fix, refurbish, upgrade, and 'scratch build' for nearly 30 years now.  I'm by no means 'accomplished'....but I love the process.  What do they say:  It's not the destination, it's the journey!!   Well, over the years I've learned much, 'fixed' much, and even had the satisfaction of either 'playing through' or 'listening to' some of the amps I've actually built.  While I suppose I qualify as being an 'old guy'..... I still like to play around with other things as well; my motorcycles, boats and 'fishing'....and enjoying the time with my family, my kids, and now my 3 grand-kids.  I now 'collect' old Scott amps, and I'm getting back 'in' to guitar amps again.  I've even bought a few new guitars!  (Not that I'll ever play out again.....lol).   Anyway.....just discovered this web site and associated forum, so I thought I'd join in.  I'm well aware of Doug's amps.......and wish I owned one!  Maybe some day.   In the mean time, looking forward to meeting some new people here, as well as the benefits from all.    Onward............
