One other Visio Question (about guide lines)
« on: January 23, 2017, 03:40:42 pm »
There is a way to cancel all the guide lines at one time without to have to select it one by one ??

I don't mean hide, I mean cancel as they were never inserted on the work

Thanks

Franco

If you ever find it, please let me know.  :icon_biggrin:
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Thank you for posing the question. It made me search through the menus until I found the answer. I have often wanted to do exactly that but rather than spend the time to learn how, I would just delete them one at a time. Now it's just a couple clicks away! I use guides extensively when designing a board layout or schematic. In fact, I use guides in most every drawing I do. Even my sprinkler system, flower bed, or garden layouts!

I used Autocad and the use of Construction Lines (the Guide Lines of Visio) is very common and indispensable if I can say

So very often happens I've a massive quantity of Guide Lines on and it was a pain to select it one by one to cancel

Thanks again

you can add the guides to a layer. that way you can then make the layer visible, not visible or, delete the layer. i usually add two layers for guides - h-guide and v-guide. start by attaching one horz. guide and one vert. guide to a layer(s) and then just copy it from then on with ctl+left mouse. sometimes i'll add board guide layers and layers for the machining guides.
