Fulltone TTE pre-amp schematic?
« on: April 13, 2017, 04:01:49 pm »
I've been playing around with a used Fulltone Tube Tap Echo I just bought.  Aside from the delay, I love the tone/drive you can get from the pre-amp.  I tend to use effects lightly if at all, so it got me thinking.  Maybe building a stand alone pre-amp/buffer based on his pre-amp would really be a useful project?  I've been running my effects like:

guitar --> pedal board --> Fulltone TTE --> Amp (5E3 based)

and really dig the punch and warmth I get having the TTE sort of "recover" the tone after the effects losses in the pedal board.

Anyhow, anyone know where there is a schematic for the TTE available?  I did some searching and didn't find anything.

Humbly,
Mark

No schematic, but here's some gut shots if you want to try and guess at it :P

Thanks, Phil.  Interesting... I thought about opening mine up and trying to reverse engineer it, but it sure would make it a lot easier to look at the schemo :)  I appreciate the link, though.

You could also take a photo, post here, and a collaborative effort could be made to reverse engineer it ;)

Not a bad idea.  Dang...every time I play this thing...it adds so much warmth and punch to the tone of my 5E3, I love it!
