larger output trans.

Should a larger output trans. same input and output specs. lower volume and have no clean head room?
I changed PT31  5k/8ohm 8watt  to 125ese 5k/8ohm15 watt and this was the results.

The 125ESE has way too many wires on it. Are you sure you got it wired right? Are you sure you are sure?

It really should play the same or a hair better.

The 125ESE at 5K may be marginal for the bottom of a bass.
