RI 1959 SL100 handwired - socket pin numbering oddity
« on: July 06, 2017, 06:03:05 am »
Just had one of these in for a service (made in 2007).

I did a double take when I saw the octal socket pin numbering. (I had to force myself to check that the pins were in fact wired correctly LoL)

Ouch! That's terrible. Are those Belton sockets?
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Those RI's were high dollar beasts when they came out!  You would think they could have sourced better parts....  How does this one sound - after service? :icon_biggrin:  I like the laced tranny leads, that's old school.

 They kind of resemble Beltons in appearance, but with an aura of foreign knockoffs.
