Roy Clark tearing it up doing Caravan on Hee Haw
« on: August 13, 2017, 07:09:56 am »
I was watching a Hee Haw documentary and they showed Roy Clark doing Caravan.
This is the only video I could find on YouTube.
Very small video size

The documentary had much better video footage

Check this out. Roy just smokes it.

Doug,

That's awesome!  I am such a huge fan of his.  I like how he is rowing the pickup switch and the bridge shimmers.  AND to make it acceptable for Hee Haw.....the banjo keepin it all together!!!!

On the documentary where I saw this, the video was really good and you can watch his fret work way better

One of the masters.  Roy has his style.  My favorite instrumental to this day is his version if Somewhere my Love.  This reminds me of the same type of approach.  I also always loved his choice of Gibsons.  Yes Jimbob, even thought they will not stay in tune Roy was good enough to play them in tune.

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
