I feel Fine
« on: October 10, 2017, 08:25:10 am »
I make backing tracks for me to play along with
I went ahead and recorded the lead guitar parts over the backing track I made

Here's John Lennon's I Feel fine done as a an instrumental

Using my Jazz-O-Caster guitar.
Jazzmaster pickups, switch was in middle position

Thanks guys

I found a great site that has a bunch of backing tracks
You can download each instrument individually
It cost $2.99, but you can download each track you buy as many times as you want in any different configuration

Drums are always a pain to create
Bass I can do, but a real bass player is always better

So I downloaded the drum tracks and bass track for this tune
Then I did all the guitar parts

Here's the web site

I use these backing track sites which have been free:

https://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/bands/B.htm

http://www.guitarvoice.com/backingtracks/

There are hundreds of backing tracks by artists and genre.

I use those web sites too

The great part about the other site is the ability to just download individual instruments
One price of $2.99 lets you do unlimited downloads in any combination of all the instruments

For example in this tune
http://www.karaoke-version.com/custombackingtrack/boston/peace-of-mind.html

You just hit the mute button on the right to mute any of those tracks and then download the file as a .mp3
So if you only want bass, drums and acoustic guitar, you can do that and download each instrument by themselves or all of them together in one .mp3

That's a remarkable program!  Great idea to be able to customize the backing track and only put the instruments on that you want.  Pretty cool!

I still use Mixcraft 7
I add the tracks that I downloaded to Mixcraft then record my guitar parts

In the case of this tune, I added the drum track and the bass track and the click track
Then you can EQ just the drums them selves or just the bass because they are on separate tracks in Mixcraft
