Forced out of Company
« on: December 18, 2017, 01:49:54 pm »
So my health has been on a up swing and I was going to look into a tech school of sorts and build another amp for both theraputic reasons and part of learning again. I got some electrical books and started refreshing myself. Well life has other plans, my Wife after spending the last 2 years on one single project, spending time over seas and making this conversion and new technology a 100% success has been forced out of her job. Shes in good spirits, already has all her connections trying to help her and recruit her. When she went to HR and counsel for an explanation, it all came down to business. They closed her division because everything from here on out can be handled elsewhere. When she spoke to her counsel she asked then why Am I the only one being overed a “sign here.... and walk away package?!!” They flat out out said because your a middle aged woman and they know theyll be reprecussions. Well theyve never met the Red headed German/Welch side off my wife. She goes in for a meeting soon with her counter offer to walk away quietly and hopefully all will be over. Shes glad in a way, weve have some personal/health and life issues lately and she is gonna use this as a postive change. Well Happy holidays to all the great folks here, Im still gonna build my amp, its just gonna be like that Johnny Cash song”One piece at a time”  :l2:

Know the feeling well, got outsourced when my Company had to cut back to <50 so Obama would "leave them alone" :think1:.  We're an at will State so I got Nothing :BangHead:, well, I kept my dignity, and a nice scope, and a nice fluke :icon_biggrin:

You are correct, If you believe it will be good, and you have Faith, it WILL be good!!! diferent, maybe strange, but good non the less.

btw, in my "meeting", I was called a whore for even staying "this long", I just smiled and said, at least I was a well paid one :l2:

Yes we have lots of open possiblities right now, she’ll probably take some short term contract work with companies she has already worked with and are always asking for her to come back. She also wants to go back to her home town with her having just passed and Mom getting up there.  we’d be able to buy and live nicely in North Western New York by Canada. Since Im a Stationary Engineer and My Union is nation wide I can transfer. Lots of options with life changing decisions. I can retire @55 with 25 years in, so that give me 7 to go. If i go to 62 Im golden. Then Ill room for my gear and build my hotrods again

So Ive been trying to stay away from the dark side of my life” Health Issues mainly. My Wifes job situation is on the up and looking good. The Holidays are always the toughest for everyone and yesterday was just another example of it. My neighbor below me fell asleep while cooking and set his stove on fire and we had to evacuate building😡 Then after we are told its ok to go back in my 7 year old has a anxiety/panic attack😔. Now I suffer from this and not only does it break my heart to see her go throgh this. Only lots of times when Im trying to help her calm down and cope with it it triggers mine and blah blah blah.
Just venting here, I hope You all have had a Happy Holiday😁

I overcame those with rockclimbing, martial arts is good also.  They both "focus" the mind, helps develop "mechanisms" for dealing with stress, carried far enough you can quickly enter a zen state where heart-rate, breathing, BP become "automated", I suck with words, but the results can be pretty amazing.  Par that with a Real Faith and amazing things happen, I could never "Move the mountain", but I did a pretty good job of not letting it get in my way
