Ed  maybe time for a trip to Colorado - may I suggest the western slope and Grand Junction - for some fine wine - and if so inclined - edibles..   but mostly the wine..
Not a connoisseur of fine wines, well not anymore.  I spent a lot of years a wee bit tipsy.  Then it got ugly.  So I leave these things to those who are more mentally balanced than I.

I always thought Mile High was a club.  You know, jump in the nude have sex in the free fall. Adrenelin added to erotic excitement.  Damn, I may need some edibles now!

I made it to 25 drinking.  I beat you Nana Nana Boo Boo.

These days any "style" doesn't have a lot of variations.  And yes, I have jumped, repelled from a chopper, hang glided and survived Jungle training in Panama.  Doesn't matter how cool I was before age 35, these thing play in my mind as another time all together.

Truthfully, I was never a connoisseur.  I drank for effect, but who doesn't?  I am not saying people do not like the taste beer, wine or even a bourbon.   What I am saying is if it did not have an effect, no one would EVER buy Johnny Walker Blue.

Oh yea, and if you only have 2 meters, both being flukes are a good choice.  I do really like my 2 Simpson 260's.  I like to see needles move sometimes.

If you really want one of those just be patient. You can find a better looking meter cheaper. You can even get training! Scroll to the bottom of this page...

I usually get old meters places other than eBay.  I have a friend who does estate sales and I have gotten a few like new from him.  The Simpson's I use new looking and very accurate.  These came from the TV/Stereo shop owner family I worked for as a kid.

I am actually looking for some a bit older, to tell the truth.  I want one or 2 of the wooden box ones to display on a couple of radios I have.  Price is up on these right now or seems to be.  Probably will not be long before no one knows what they are as it seems every Hamfest or Radio Swap meet I go to, I am still the kid there.  Those who do are the collectors.

Well  thought I would report that the Extech 411 multimeter started have real problems reading DC volts - it is drifting and reading high..  I checked it using my fluke and sure enough   the fluke is rock steady while the Extech drifts and reads too high..  I also checked using an old analog meter and it agreed with the fluke..  I discovered this while performing a bias adjust and the plate voltages were reading all over the place from 435 to 474vdc..  it never stabilized ..  fluke reading was a steady 435.. ..    so  I guess you get what you pay for.. so I'm in the market for another Fluke..

spend the scratch on good gear. you buy good guitars, build better amps than you can buy: your test gear deserves the same consideration.  :icon_biggrin:

PS: mine are so old the LCD are stating to fade. there were some replacement LDC panels on fleabay, however, i'm dubious of the quality. i have tried cleaning the contact strip on the glass and elastomer strip, but no joy! :-(

Hi...the market hasn't changed that much since 2017. Truly, there have been some fresh introductions, however it isn't care for all the data out there has gotten outdated. Indeed, even with the fresh introductions, taking a gander at the "old" strings will help you sort out what highlights various individuals find significant and what to search for or get some information about. With no data concerning what you are searching for, why you are thinking about those UNI-T meters specifically it is somewhat hard for anybody to help, and sort of trivial until you do a touch of the exploration yourself.

Nobody mentioned UNI-T meters in this 2 year old thread. Do you have a real suggestion?

New member "SmithAsani" has just one post on several forums this week. More on older threads, most not as off-point as this.

I'm trying to provoke a human response. Alternatives are a spammer or a 'bot. They have learned to post "valid" posts (sometimes re-mix of forum content) a few times before dropping a payload (discount DVD of Russian vegetable washer, etc.)
