Fender Princeton 5C2

Greetings!  I asked the forum members about a small low watt amp schematic to build and got some great suggestions.  I finally settled on the 5c2 because it used a preamp tube different than the usual 12Ax7 and I've already build the standard 12ax7 champ.  I had the cabinet already built from an earlier derailed project and got the Heppner 8" alnico off of ebay for cheap (sounds quite good).

The cabinet is finger jointed pine and the chassis is made out of 22 gauge steel from Home Depot, painted in gold.  The lettering is a water slide, then covered in several coats of clear gloss acrylic spray.

The cabinet is covered in actual Tweed cloth; my first time using it and it will not be my last.  I think I like using it better than tolex.  I still need to put feet on it and drill holes for the back door but thought I'd update the group.

Nice project and beautiful job with the tweed. I built a similar amp a few years back. It's a 1940s Valco/Supro circuit with a 6SL7 preamp tube. My 65 year old eyes and arthritic fingers really like working with octal tube sockets!
