  solid state rectifier
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 hi there,
I need someone to tell me how to build a solid state rectifier. I have an amp with a single EL84 power tube and it uses a diode rectifier. It seems to have as much grunt as my AA764 champ, but the tone is different(not bad, just different).
I want to re-build it in a new chassis, and I need to know how to re-create the rectifier without melting this cool amp into slag.I know I need a lesson in theory, but for now a push in the right direction would be nice.
Thanks in advance!

I really appreciate the help I've received on this forum. For relatively new amp builders like me,it's literally been a godsend.
