I thought this was a really cool jam and everyone seemed to be having fun and bringing their own thing to the mix.

I'm usually not big on all star jams because they usually start or finish off with everyone trying to outdo each other at the same time.  I liked this one.  I was wondering why the girl (Orianthi?) was suddenly so out of tune.  Then I saw the broken string in the later shots.  Billy is just so cool.  Jimi said he was the best guitar player he had ever heard when the Moving Sidewalks were opening for The Experience.

Great stuff. I agree all star jams can be hotdogging, but each of these players styles are different. Just goes to show what can be done with a simple riff.

Yeah, did you guys notice how much more awesome and superior the Tele sounded then any other guitar there!   Thank goodness there were no strats in that mix.

Just kidding.  I thought the guy's 335 thru the Marshall amp he was playing just sounded terrific! Loved that tone the most of all of them.

One of the things I like about Billy G is that he truly seems to enjoy jamming with other guitarists, enjoys their talent and has a lot of fun with it.  Vince Gill is another guy that seems to be that way. I've always admired the humility of incredible musicians getting a kick out of the playing of others (who sometimes may not be nearly as good as themselves).

There are some other YouTubes from that same event.  "Sharp Dressed Man" is one of them and it was pretty good one also. It has that same gal playing and she really tears it up on the tune.

A Squire tele!? Yikes! He must be using his money on amps & pedals?  :w2: :icon_biggrin:
