Hello from North Carolina
« on: February 13, 2018, 02:34:22 pm »
Hello,

Where to start... I live in Charlotte, I work as a graphic designer for a textile printer.  I've been playing guitar since I was 15, which makes 26 years.  I used to restore motorcycles as hobby, or rather it took me 10 years to restore 2 motorcycles which I've recently sold because I don't ride much anymore, it's just gotten too dangerous around here.  So, I started building pedals instead, then I rebuilt a Valve Jr from a turret board kit I got from a guy in Australia.  Then I bought Dave Hunter's book and built the Two Stroke amp and now the next project is going to be a JCM800.  I have a 17 year old that's going off to college next year, one of the proudest moments of my life was when I came home early one day over the summer and found him playing Highway to Hell through my Mig50 fully cranked.  He thought I was going to be pissed but I told him that it sounded just like Angus Young himself was in my house trying to blow out the windows.  The boy responded with "who's Angus Young?".

"Who's Angus Young?"

Haha! :l2:  Trust me, it doesn't get any better.  Wait till you start telling them your band stories and they roll their eyes and tell you that you have told that story 100 times and you know it is the first!  Sigh....  It appears you have done a good job!  Well done dad!

Welcome!
Jim
