Hi All!

Old(ish) guy, former electronics tech, current IT Guy. Other hobbies include bass, guitar, drums, racing and riding motorcycles (which necessarily includes working on them), computers & networking, and audio production/recording.

Currently active as a Solutions Engineer for a Consulting/Managed Services Provider.

Play bass frequently for a few different projects at live shows and cameo as needed for various recording projects on bass, guitar, or drums and sometimes even ukulele, mandolin or banjo (although I don't claim to have any proficiency with the last two instruments).

Run a hobby studio producing on average an album or two per year for outside clients.

Worked for years as a bench tech, starting with HAWK radar chassis', moving on to pro audio (warranty for B&O, McIntosh, Fender, Altec, DBX, Otari, and many others including consumer brands), later added in home and autosound. Still keep my fingers in the pie by taking in the occasional repair for friends as well as keeping my own stuff working.

I have a couple of older tube amps in my studio needing some attention, and Googling for some specific can capacitors, ran across this forum. Looks like a great resource, and I really like the policies on political and religious threads/topics.

Anyway, getting ready to have a look around to soak up some knowledge & wisdom and possibly share some of my own experience if it seems relevant to anyone's questions.
