I have a shiney plate 12AX7A with an anchor like symbol etched on it.  What is the manufacturer?  Jim

US navy tube?

BINGO! The anchor symbol was often stamped on vacuum tubes that were made for the US Navy. Could have been one of several different manufacturers/contractors. Raytheon, GE, Sylvania, etc all put the Navy anchor symbol on tubes. Here are some examples...
