Gibson Hawk

Nice sounding amp after a re-cap ,and gain adjustment... was prepared to hate it , like most old Gibsons.... WELL i like it a lot through my EVM12-L... the stock speaker , is , well anemic, added shielded cable from V1 , to the volume pot also . What was odd about this cathode biased amp was... having , or not a bypass cap on the output tubes didn't affect the tone at all ... was replacing the original  with a new Sprague , when i noticed nothing made any difference....new cap / old cap / no cap . All my other cathode biased amps are beefed up when using a cap... odd
