Silicon on filtercaps?

Hi.  I was just wondering what to use to really steady the filter caps.  Is it regular silicon or is it some kind of glue?

Silicon is what transistors are made off. Silicone is what you're looking for. Not the grease or lube but the caulk. I've seen both silicone caulk and hot melt glue used for this purpose. I would prefer silicone.

FWIW I also use foam double sided tape.

Find and use GE silicon II - don't use anything with Acetic Acid in it.

Yeah make sure it's electronics grade. The stuff you'd get at auto parts stores and elsewhere will offgas corrosive vapors.
