1962 Fender Concert Brown Face

It just keeps getting more exciting with each year that goes by. Yes i am severely burned out. But are you going to say no to working on historical pieces? Nay i say. More later. What a beaut!

Really a true Vibrato using (2) tubes. It has a nice phase pulsing and the notes do not decay for a long time. Though the pulse is a little overwhelming to some degree. The 1959 Bassman was the first 410 amplifier. Then this 410 Concert amp and then the 410 Super reverb.
I have the original Jensen speakers that are being re-coned. At the moment there are (4) older 10" Eminence speaker which in themselves sound great. The PS caps are shot of course. I removed all the caps from there date coded sleeves and will be using F&T 20uf/500VDC replacement capacitors. Is life good or what? The next amp is a 56 Gibson Country Gentelman. I can't wait to get working on that one to.

Nice!!! I bought one of those years ago, as an amp with problems. It was before Ebay went bonkers so the price was not bad ($600.) Turned out the problem was the amp would periodically go into standby. After fixing that, I did the usual lytic cap replacement. It is way too loud for my home playing, but I can not bear to let it go.

Sounds great!  Very nice amps to work on.  :icon_biggrin:   I wonder who put that radial cap in there? Are you planning on separate cathode bias caps or the combined reissues?

Yes i am going to change the cathode caps and get rid of the orange drops. But i am not making any changes to the original part values or circuit. The yellow Mallory M150's should sound great.
