Walmart shuffle
« on: September 12, 2018, 01:16:57 am »
I named this 'far from sober, damn close to happy' because I was shopping Wally world and a guy was bopping up n down the isles, feeling no pain, and whistle/humming something like this melody. I extrapolated it a bit, threw in a chorus, but inspired by him!

Listen to Far from sober damn close to Happy by larry tovar jr. #np on #SoundCloud

You need to go to wally world more often!  This sounds like Sneaking Sally Through the Alley meets Little Feat!  I really liked it about half way on where you gave yourself a little room to shine.  There was some really nice playing on the first half but was covered up somewhat by other leads.

Larry the FUNK machine!

Thanks Man. Been farting around with that song for a while and I used it for background on my YouTube ' AmpCordAxe' account, or Larry Tovar Jr. I think. I think I'm a little weird cuz I like mixes SOMETIMES that are a little busy, or with multiple leads that sort of cross over each other, as opposed to worked out harmonies. I sort of like the tension but I definitely hear you it can be a little hectic sometimes. My favorite part is sort of Midway too, well I tried to get a little Cornell Dupree/Eric Gale vibe.

I'm trying to run through my memory sticks looking for better versions, and maybe it's just on the Loopers internal memory. Thanks for the kind words and input, and always looking forward to more of your stuff, music, and forum related!
