Webster 88-24 conversion sound clip 1
« on: October 07, 2018, 09:38:10 pm »
This is a clip of a Webster Electric Co.  Model 88-24 taken from an Allen Organ and converted to a guitar amplifier.  Original pre-amp was 6J5. It has been replaced with an AB763 pre-amp/tone stack as designed by Sluckey.  This is an initial test recorded on a cell phone and using some old speakers I had lying around.  Final tube configuration is designed to be 6SL7,6SL7, (2) 6L6.  Power rectifier is a 5U4.  I am awaiting delivery on the second 6SL7 so a 6SN7 is substituted.

In this clip, the tube Configuration is 6SN7, 6SL7, (2) 6L6.  Power rectifier is a 5U4.

Guitar used is a parts caster.  Custom soft maple Flying v body with Yamaha 112EG neck. Yamaha 112EG pickups.
