Wiring a dpst switch. What does HT mean?

High Tension
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Well that certainly makes a lot more sense.  I thought it stood for Hydrogen-3.  That stuff's a little bit rare in my neck of the woods 'cept for the fallout.

Happy Holidays

When using the dpst switch for standby, HT is coming from pin 8 then out to B+?

What's the usual wiring for a dpst switch that Doug H sells for amps?

I know you've seen this. What exactly do you not understand?

This switch is able to switch The main power On and Off and switch the amp from Standby to play.
The image above shows that the switch is divided into two halfs

On the left side is where the AC to the transformer primary is switched On and Off

On the right side is where the DC coming from the rectifier is switched
Normally the standby switch is between the rectifier and the filter caps

The easy way to think about wiring this switch is just wire each half as if they were two separate switches, which they are

This switch is a little more trick than the usual DPST.  Both switches are open when the lever is down and both switches are closed when the lever is up, just like a standard DPST.  But when the lever is in the center position, one switch is closed and the other one is open.
