Parallel SE Princeton Reverb
« on: January 05, 2019, 12:28:39 am »
Hey guys,

Im planning my next amp build. Ive attached my preliminary sketch of the schematic. My favorite amp is the princeton reverb and Ive been wanting a vibro champ for its trem. I already have a 5f1 I built and dont want another champ. I have a Princeton chassis and I have a bunch of parts lying around.... SO. Ive come up with this.

Its basically a Princeton reverb SE cathode biased amp with vibro champ trem circuit added on where the Princeton trem and the PI would be.

I am using a weber w022772 PT. I have a Princeton/deluxe reverb driver. I also have a 15w SE OT with 7k primary to 4 ohms secondary. Will that OT work for this project?  I think 2 6v6s in parallel is 3500k right?

Any major errors or am I on the right track?  Thanks!

Looks like fun.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

I used 3.5k last one I built, plate ~~~ 290vdc.  I've found giving each PA tube it's own R & C has less "issues"

I settled in on 420 ohms for my Rk @290vdc
If you're doing a turret design, add a couple for G2 R's.  They come in handy :dontknow: when you're tweakin n tunin your sound
Went Class C for efficiency
