Your build looks really nice. It's a lot different than my Blues Jr. Your wiring is all on the chassis. Looks really neat and tidy.

Great job and great pictures. keep them coming.

Cheers!

Will do. There is only something like 15 more small resistors and caps to add and they are gonna be on the sockets and pots. Going for a really clean build. Just hope it is not noisy.

Well, I'm a newbie at this so I can't really give you any advice. Doug has excellent information in the library so I would certainly make sure that you read up on as much information on that amp that he has. It was worth its weight in gold for my build.

Yep, he has some awesome info accumulated for us. I consider myself not a newbie but definitely a rookie. All my builds so far have been good so keeping my fingers crossed. The help on here is very valuable and great to know it is so welcome.  :icon_biggrin:

Finished up the 5F2A Princeton Today. It sounds awesome for such a simple amp. Here's the pictures of the finished amp. Next thing will be to add a one tube reverb to it.

Your build looks great!!  What speaker are you using?

I built the 5f1 two years ago and just upgraded my speaker to a Jensen C12Q8 and it sounds awesome.

Well I only have 2 speakers. A Jensen C10Q and a Celestion G12M Greenback. I have only played it so far with the Celestion but will try out Jensen also. I am planning on putting a bright switch in it next then the reverb.

Nice job! I have a Celestion Vintage G30 in my Blues Jr III. Great speaker. I just finished my Blues Jr conversion but ran into a problem on power up. Smoked a resistor. Went through some debugging and found a resistor that wasn't hooked up in the right place. I'll be replacing them and then try again. Hope for a better outcome.

Enjoy your amp!
