I wish Doug would......
« on: March 26, 2019, 05:56:58 pm »
I wish Doug would.....let customers come to his store. Just realized my daughter lives about 2 miles from that general area of his address on the site, and I just live in maybe 35 minutes away.  Now wouldn't that be cool. :icon_biggrin: ;Like the worlds biggest candy store. Although I am broke. :sad2: maybe I could get some scraps to build with.

Jim, you must be a professional musician, married, you already admitted you have a daughter. Any one or more of those will keep you broke!  Remember: NO PAY, NO PLAY!  I feel your pain...

You THINK you know where Doug lives.  That is one of his many shadow addresses where his team of Oompa Loompa's pack and ship his goodies.  Nobody knows what he really looks like or what exotic local he is at from week to week.  He is the Robin Masters of tubular musical mayhem!  I want to drive his Ferrari!

Haha. Nobody would go to that remote address for a warehouse unless you deliver by stagecoach.  :l2: and unless this is his imposter this is his mug shot.

You will hear banjos playing long before you spot his warehouse.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

He's not shooting AT you, just sighting in for deer season. Squirrel season? Wild pig? Bear?  Anyway, he's not shooting at you....

It is not as remote as one may think, but can be if you prefer. Not sure where you reside 35 miles from Pisgah, but over in West Asheville not the Amp Shop, look at CRAIGSLIST ASHEVILLE and find the guy who sells restored Bassmans on the Henderson hwy or hwy 25 heading towards Arden. Old electronic shop. Fun place to see the old stuff, but he has parts for antique radio. It took me 3 years, but I finally got him to sell me an unused  RCA tube caddy.
If you like that kind of thing. You have to call him since his sign simply says Zenith Radio Sales and service which is no accident as it insures a certain clientele.

Not dissing Doug, he is the fastest gun in the east. Just a fun place where nothing is repurposed, but fixed for its purpose.

Thanks Ed. I will check that out. We do most our shopping at Arden. There's a pickup manufacturer in asheville now also.

My shop is on my personal property
I don't have a walk in shop like I did in Florida

The only people coming here  are UPS, FedEx, USPS
And occasionally, my mountain biking buddies when we meet up for a ride or are working on a bike :)

Don't blame ya for that. I don't like to even sell anything on craigslist nowadays unless I can take it to a public place.

That's what I do
I go down the road 3 miles and meet people at the Walmart parking lot
