Wire gauge and some more
« on: May 17, 2019, 05:33:05 am »
Hi.  I am a bit uncertain as to what gauge to use connecting the tubes.  I have used the 22g, bought from Hoffman, but I am a bit uncertain if that is ok?

I also wonder if the 50v tap is going onto the board as circled here in the pick?

22AWG is fine for most of the tube wiring. I like 20AWG for filaments.

Yes, the 50v bias tap goes in your blue circle.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
