Late 70s Fender Super Reverb
« on: June 05, 2019, 12:34:35 am »
I'm working on a Fender Super Reverb Dated 1977-78... This amp has a bridge rectifier circuit and a master volume. All the layouts I have found show a tube rectifier and no master volume.
Does anyone know what I have and where can I find information on it.
Thanks In Advance...
Joe

The same scheme was used for several models, so the whole list has to be scoured to find a likely contender.
I don’t think a layout is available.

Beware of the impedance switching and ‘isolated from chassis’ arrangement used for the ext speaker jack. It’s actually in series with the main jack.

The higher HT voltage of these amps meant that they couldn’t just bodge the jacks in parallel as with previous eras; halving the load would stress the power tubes.

The 70W Super Reverb has more than one output jack arrangement.
