Crackling tremolo
« on: August 03, 2019, 03:17:24 pm »
I have never met this before.
I have a VOX AC15 type poweramp to which I connect a 6G3 type tremolo.
Tremolo is very silent i.e. no ticking/thumping but when playing the sound is a bit distorted/crackling.

I have double checked the tremolo circuit and even checked it with scope, it works fine and clean.
The amp sounds fine when the tremolo is switched off.

For more information see the schematics

Bad power tubes were causing the problem.
