Chassis Sourcing
« on: August 15, 2019, 09:36:59 am »
Where is everyone buying blank aluminum chassis at nowadays? I have used the ones from Watts before but due to their bad reputation lately I wont order from them. Would like ones with the thicker 0.09 aluminum as the hammond ones are a little too flimsy for my tastes for big iron. The only ones I am seeing are the mojotone one thats the JTM45 size would like some options.

Search user "synapticamps" on ebay, or on Google search.

Doug sells a very nice blank chassis   17 x 6.5 x 2.5   at a very reasonable price.

With respect, Tubenit

I agree that Doug does have a nice chassis available. I always try to put my money here first, but if you feel limited by size options go with this guy.

I had the chassis for my current build made by him. Great product and quick turnaround time.

zachmdhunter on ebay was pretty good price wise and makes mojotone compatible chassis. Buy from here first though. Least we could do for running the forum

I def will buy from Doug whenever possible!

I could probably make his aluminum chassis work but would prefer bigger just for safe measure. I may go ahead and do it.

Zachmdhunters chassis are good. I have used one of his bassman chassis and sourced his princeton chassis for a friend as well.

I think I can make the aluminum blank work as long as I use a standup transformer.
