You might find me here, but only at the bottom.  No way!  Just thought I would remind you that they're rushes way above seeing Journey, but Journey had way more hits and made much more money than I ever did.

Times change, but you can always count on Jim-Bob to be old and nasty.  Hell, he got grouchy years ago........no wait.......he has always been, how do we say it?  Sort of opinionated and actually believes if he thinks it, the majority agrees.  Which they might, hell I know I am far from mainstream.

Ed,

There is a rush and there is stupid.  That was stupid.  I guess non-horse people think what I do is stupid when I'm trying to stay on a colt that is doing everything but turn inside out to get me off.  However, I fall maybe 5-6 ft onto hopefully a soft patch of dirt.  What he is doing is stupid.  Who knows what was under that water.  That could have ruined his day quick.

This video was a poke at ALL of us!  I mentioned this before - a few years ago my wife and I went to a Kansas concert.  We sat down and were looking around and my wife leans over and whispers, "Look at all these OLD people!"  I whispered back, "They are OUR age!"  We were laughing pretty good at that!  Leanne has a much more eloquent way of explaining that reality!  "It's 10:00!  What are we doing!!!"  :l2:

Ed.....  Yes I have some low key opinions, but have I EVER lead you astray?  Big tubes? Check...  If I wasn't for me, you wouldn't know the wonderful sounds that emanate from a Strat.  And how many do you have now?  Check...  I could go on, but you get the idea.  Old?  yes.  Nasty?  no.  I only speak the truth.  Think of me as your conscience, your sensei, your life coach.

I agree with the concert age.  Clint Black is playing at the Smokey Mountain Theater for Performing Arts on April 17th.  This Theater is walking distance from my mountain home and I get to work any show as a volunteer.  You know, helping other old people find seats and directing those without depends to the bathroom.

Anyway, this theater is really nice.  It is a newer style where you cannot see any of the should system as it is behind screened structures and is owned and built by Phil Drake who designed and still owns and rents Electronic Tax Filing to the US Government.  Yes, he gets a few bucks every time someone e-files their taxes, which is every good God Fearing American!

So I called my wife and asked her if she wanted to go and if so, did she want a seat because I was inviting my girlfriend too.  Britney, who is 27!  Leigh, the wife is a bit older, but still much my junior said seats because they wouldn't be able to keep up with me running around all over the place and didn't want to bother Clint Black cause she knows I will.  Last time I saw him I asked was he still playing those weird tuning Tom Andersons in a Strat shape?  He laughed and said yes, she was embarrassed and I said he will never forget meeting me.

So I call Britney and ask her if she wanted to go.  She said yes, well texted yes, she is 27 you know.  Then she asked WHO IS CLINT BLACK?  I mentioned youtube and everyone there will have had purple hair when purple hair wasn't cool.  I told her I was writing a song and it was called "I had Purple Hair when Purple Hair Wasn't Cool."

Last month we all went to see Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childress in Asheville.  I bought 3 tickets for us in the PIT son, yes, dancing in the pit along with JJ and Ashely, 2 others in their late 20's.  I saw one person as old as me and she was checking tickets.

Sturgill

Read the lyrics.  He is sort of like Jagger, it takes a bit to understand what he is saying.  This is the type of music I am into and I assure you the crowd is not as old as the crowd as at Joe Bonamassa show.  He wasn't near as loud either.

And Finally Tyler.  Talk about a crowd tripping their brains out.  Freaky, Funky song mixes in Asheville.  At 10 pm I was dancing with some girl I didn't know who was crying when we met.  Why was she crying, hell I don't know she was tripping and it is too early in the season for Mushrooms.  Met some others and we went over after the show and played music on the front porch till the sun came up.

I may be old as some say, but I don't have any children to remind me and I never get embarrassed gawking at a gal who is young enough to be my daughter cause none of them are!

I played big bottles before you, Check, but I do have 4, count them 4 Fender Stratocasters and considering a 5th, but I am also getting a Gibson 275 soon.  I now know why I didn't like Stratocasters and it is an easy fix.  I simply do not like plastic pick guards, bakelite in single ply is ok.  All my strats have Anodized Metal singly ply and I can buy Strats so cheap, much cheaper than a real guitar and hell, if I forget one somewhere who cares?

If any of the above you think is untrue, just remember I never let a lie get in the way of a good story!  Ask Shooter!

Thanks ED for another epic post.  :worthy1:
I usually can't stand the sound of country music but I enjoyed every second of that post.
And in some way I was transported to the Smokey Mountain Theatre for just a minute and that was enough to make today special.

Your boy Sturgill there reminds me of a local favorite round these parts...

We just have to wait for Jimmy to come around.
Maybe if we locked him in a room with a tele and a Deluxe Reverb he'd figure it all out.

He ani't as "local" as you may think.  Love this music too.  I prefer things a little off tilt, just like I prefer Jerry Lee Lewis to Little Richard, but dig them both.

Naw, Jimmy done got too old to figure.  You know he think he was "Bud" dating Sissy and ever since he has been looking for love in all things Blackmore!  He is strange in ways, but I must admit I like Rainbow and George Strait.

Now that I have you listening to country.  Check this out.
