Hi Folks!
« on: April 19, 2020, 04:28:00 pm »
My name is Gene, I'm now 65 and have been playing blues inspired rock/R&B  through "cranked" tube amps since the age of 14! Please don't misinterpret my user name "The Ballzz" as it is not referring to body parts. It is instead a nickname I acquired in my mid teens. Whenever I would show up at a jam, etc, folks would often say "the balls is finally here" referring to my standard tone and playing style of at the time a Les Paul or SG plugged straight into wide variety of tube amps cranked to their maximum, with no pedal/stomp/foot thingies involved! In recent reality, Ive found the need to pare down to low wattage amps to avoid being asked to either turn down or leave!  I'm still on the quest for that "Holy Grail" of an amplifier that fits me perfectly.  :worthy1: I'm also full of stupid questions, as I'm a guitarist/singer first, being a loving, GOD fearing husband is a very close second (if you ask my wife she'll claim that the husband part isn't as close of a second as I claim  :icon_biggrin:) and electronics bench tinkerer/hobbiest somewhere around third or fourth. I do also love playing with Hot Rods, classic vehicles and driving car that are way too fast to be practical!  :l2:
