Hello all, I hope everyone is doing ok during covid quarantine.
I have a chassis that has already been at least 2 completely different circuits, now it's disassembled and headed towards it's 3rd reincarnation.
I have settled on an output section, it will be push-pull, 2-6V6 , cathode bias, being fed by long tail phase inverter.
I have also settled on a preamp, it is a circuit that I have already built, although it was a tube pedal on my first build.
It is a jcm800/2204 with a treble/bass Baxandall EQ.
I am attaching my schematic for the preamp.
I took the volume off of the last anode for the pedal version, and fully intend on leaving the volume as an anode-follower to feed the LTPI on this build.
I already have 4 - 12ax7 sockets installed on the chassis, just enough for this preamp, a one-tube reverb, a and the LTPI.
My question is about the reverb insertion. The fender ab763 has a 2.2M//500pF parallel combo that ties in the reverb. I've seen some one tube reverbs on here that use simply a 200K resistor as the tie in point.
I've thought of 3 different places in the preamp, the first option would be between triode 1 and 2, using something between a 200K resistor up to a 2.2M//500pF. Or maybe between the 2nd and 3rd triodes? Or maybe after the 4th triode, before the "master volume" control.
Does anyone have an educated guess, or suggestion as to which location and/or which value of tie-in resistor may work best here?
