Unusual heater elevation question
« on: August 08, 2020, 02:11:13 pm »
Hi All.  I built an elevated heater voltage circuit into an amp and then ordered a power transformer without a center-tap on the 6.3v winding.  Can I create an artificial center-tap with resistors and still use the circuit or should I bag it and use the filaments as designed?  Other possibilities include using DC for the preamp tubes.  Thanks, Skip

Yes, absolutely.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
