Tubenit's DeCleanVerb
« on: August 25, 2020, 01:06:28 pm »
I thought I'd start a new thread even though this is an evolution of my Sears 40XL thread. I'm going to try the 1 tube verb circuit in the amp I built by sacrificing the fx loop ckt. It looks like it will work. At some point I might also go to fixed bias. Not that there's anything wrong with it now using Cathode bias, but just because I can and I like to experiment. This build for me is all about the journey and not necessarily the destination. Stay tuned!
I'm learning...

Maybe try this approach to the reverb using a 12DW7 where the 12AU7 triode part is the driver.  Just look at the reverb section & insertion point  only of this schematic.

BTW,  I have an amp that had an active FX loop and now I have the passive FX loop going into a one tube reverb and like it even better.

With respect, Tubenit

Long as you're playing you may be interested in this simple mod that allows you to switch between fixed and cathode bias.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
