Beautiful tree.  That article was a sobering read. My son in Oakland sent us pictures of sunrise and several more throughout a day a couple weeks ago that showed the orange sky, then dark enough to set streetlights on at noon, and later ash appearing on flat surfaces outside.  It reminded me somewhat of images from Mt. St. Helens.
