I finished my Blackvibe based on the work of Rob Robinette a while ago and have been trying to decide what to build next. I made the mistake of not realizing I was ordering packs of 5 resistors instead of single packs when I ordered parts for the Blackvibe, so I have a few resistors I'd like to use. (I know, rookie mistake.) I also have a blank chassis. When I started the Blackvibe, I ordered two thinking I might mess one up. Somehow, I didn't. I learned a tremendous amount on that first build and want to expand on that.

I always liked the way the Vibrolux sounded, so I think that would be an enjoyable amp to have and play. And I want to learn about tremolo and wondered if this would be a good vehicle for that education.

Would you guys recommend the Vibrolux or something else at this stage of my building experience?

that's a PRO thing  :icon_biggrin:
I ALWAYS order in lots of 5-10 for all the "common" parts, that way i'm 80% ready for the next one
Went Class C for efficiency

pretty basic fender trem.. good candidate for a build. Id probably condense the inputs.. no need for 3 but i can understand if youd want to keep it stock. You may want to elevate your heaters/put in an artificial center tap. Ignore Uncle Doug's video where he complains about input #1 not having a ground reference impedance. It works fine.

Thanks Vampwizzard. I was thinking I would go with a single input as you suggest. To what level would you recommend I elevate the heaters?

Also, I was wondering if this circuit would be a good candidate to add the one tube reverb that is posted elsewhere in this forum?

Honestly Id probably just do artificial center tap. Depends on what transformer you go with.. it may already have a heater center tap on it.

as far as the one tube reverb goes, I believe most 5F11 PT's will support the extra tube, whether or not its a good fit for the amp in general is to be determined.. but I think a Carr Skylark fits somewhere along that topology.

FWIW ive been looking at Harvard derived amps myself for the next build. looking forward to your build!
