What is the advantage of those metal film filter caps over our traditional electrolytics?   They are so big!  Especially when compared to radial electrolytic caps.

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Yup exactly.  Unlike electrolytics that can dry out and fail over time, these don't have a 'wet' electrolyte, and therefore last forever (unless they fail, which ANY component can do) therefore in theory the amp should never need any touches inside once done.  There were 0 electrolytic capacitors used here.
