Re: Adding 1-tube reverb

Greetings...I am building the 5879 Blues Amp, and would like to boost the reverb by substituting a 6BM8 circuit for the 12AX7 circuit.   Do you think I can drop in the attached 6BM8 circuit from the BluezMeister TremVerb?  Looks like it draws a lot more current.   I read through the whole thread and seems there isn't a ton of 6BM8 experiences although there are a couple, and also seemed some debate about it.   As always, thanks so much for any help!

Did you see this thread on a capacitor driven 6BM8 reverb?

Thank you, I did not see that thread but read through it.   I already have the transformer and the low impedance fender style tank, so I will need the transformer.    Did you ever build the 6BM8 circuit with the transformer?   It looks like if I use the Hammond transformer I will need to keep the supply voltage at around 200 volts to avoid exceeding the plate dissipation limits of the tube.

I could make it easy on myself and do the 12ax7 one tube reverb but I was looking to strengthen it.
