California Dreamer
« on: February 12, 2021, 08:12:02 pm »
Hello all,
Resurrecting and old project and having trouble locating any of the documentation on line.    Does anyone have the schematics/layouts for this project?

I have a drilled chassis, PT, choke, sockets, pots, jacks, switches - This was a project I worked on 15 ish years ago with a friend and I had forgotten all about it.   We recently reconnected and he gave me the chassis pretty much populated except for the board itself.   I'm digging around for any paper documentation I might have kept.

Does anyone any of the schematics or layouts in their archives?

Thanks in advance,
mike

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Hey Sluckey,
Thanks for the quick reply, I did find those but I had a different layout that doesn't match the one that's there (exactly).   Are you aware of any other board layouts out there?

Did I read you were involved with this project?

My Sluckey Revibe build is coming along btw, parts are coming in, chassis laid out,  Weber xformers landed thursday....

The CD is just a single channel Deluxe Reverb without tremolo. There are a few simple mods to dress it up, things like Fixed/Cathode bias switch, Mid control, Dwell and Reverb Tone, better bias circuit, etc. I had nothing to do with that project, but I had just completed a very similar project (my TDR) when I discovered ax84.com. I did build their November project which is basically a fixed bias 18 watt plexi.

Post your layout. Maybe someone will recognize it.

Thanks Sluckey,
I'll keep digging through my stuff, but I may just chuck the board part and go with a something like your TDR.   I've looked at the Hoffman stuff too.

Since the Dreamer is a dead project I'm open to using something like the your TDR, I'd much rather go with something more of an active project.

I'm open to other suggestions, like to keep under 22 watts, lower is ok.   Feels like Christmas getting this nearly loaded chassis, I'm pretty much open to anything using that Fender 041316 PT, 4 - 9 pin, 3 octal tube arrangement.

   thanks again,
mike
