My Mentor Lars Jacobsen Died

 You may have heard me mention him as "My Tech friend". Lars was in bad health but he was a wealth of knowledge and always willing to give me pointers or walk me thru troubleshooting and repairs. He didn't have any money and frankly was living a pretty crappy existence. But he never complained and was always willing to help me out. I last saw him last Friday and he was in bad shape but he wouldn't let me take him to the hospital. I think he knew the end was near and he accepted it. He died in his sleep Saturday night. Yesterday, I went over to his place (he lived in his shop) and a mutual friend who has stepped up and taken on the job of Lars' final affairs said that he had left me something. Lars gave me a B&K 707 Dyna-Jet tube tester. I don't understand all of the functions, but it has the reference chart and it looks pretty straight forward. Thanks Lars!
