cee jay11 amp voltages
« on: May 14, 2021, 04:19:38 pm »
I am wanting to build a cee jay 11 by Devide by 13.
I have the schematic but it has no voltages on it.
Would anybody have the voltages for this amp.
What I would really need is the voltages on the plates.

Why do you need plate voltages? The PT voltages are listed. Just use that PT, build the amp, measure voltages after the fact.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

also guessing it's a "proven" design
Went Class C for efficiency

There have been a few builder reports of success.  As I recall, DarkBlueMurder was one.  I have breadboarded it, and it sounded good.

Edit--you might want to leave room in your layout for PI grid stopper.

I have herd some good things about this amp, which is what attracted it to me, I have a fender selection so this should be a little different.

Looking at my power transformers. the closest I have is 330 0 330 but i guess I can figure out a filter cap/resistor combo to compensate for a higher starting voltage.

Bad idea IMO.

Well I was thinking if I used. 5y3 rectifier tube this would drop me down to a more compatible voltage which would still need some adjustments
